The Watchmen and 300 director Zack Snyder did say that he would look to cast an unknown in his Superman reboot so we can‘t say we weren‘t warned! The latest Man Of Steel rumour to gain traction in Hollywood is that Snyder, along with producer Christopher Nolan and scribe David Goyer, have picked out the one, the only, Joe Manganiello to play Clark Kent and the pyjama–wearing superhero.
The L.A. Times‘ Hero Complex, a blog site well known for breaking such huge superhero casting stories, tweeted thus;
"Is ‘True Blood‘ werewolf star Joe Manganiello a frontrunner to play Superman? That‘s the rumor du jour in Hollywood."
The studio, Warner Brothers, has refused to confirm, or deny, the persistent rumour – take from that what you will. So, who is this not–so–average Joe? Well, you may just about remember him as Mary Jane‘s squeeze in Sam Raimi‘s Spider–Man as well as him popping up in HBO‘s True Blood as a mean–spirited werewolf type
